About PurpleDrop Design
PurpleDrop is a Strategic Design studio from Amsterdam. We cover both product and brand design for ambitious clients.
We love to serve pioneers. People who have a strong and clear vision for a new future. It might be changing the dynamics of an industry, or conceptualizing a new product for millions of people adapting to a changing world. We find it easy to work with such ambitious leaders, as it gives our design the right channel and purpose.
Our Founder, Gaurav Mathur, has more than 15 years of experience in design and marketing, studying Strategic and Product Design at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, and Marketing and Strategy at the Indian Institute of Management at Indore.
He is an early investor in Pratilipi and Dozee, breakout startups which have gone on to further raise funds from people like Pierre Omidyar of eBay and Demis Hassabis of Google Deepmind.
Over the years he has worked with established brands like Philips, Adidas, and Porsche, on projects which covered product and brand design strategy and execution. He has also worked at staff and lead levels with YCombinator funded startups like MessageBird (a Dutch unicorn) and LiveFlow.
He has given talks in the Amsterdam UX community as well as on Figma’s official channel about the future and potential of design.
